The CenDel Foundation Has Distributed Over $3 Million in Grants to Charitable Organizations in Central Delaware.
The CenDel Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations that serve the residents of Kent County. Grants are awarded to organizations that address critical community needs and align with the Foundation’s mission to increase philanthropic giving and action in Central Delaware.
Grant applications are reviewed by the CenDel Foundation Board of Directors. Funding decisions are based on available resources, the scope of the request, and the potential impact on the community.
Organizations applying for funding must be recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or have a fiscal sponsor with 501(c)(3) status.
Grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Applicants will be notified of funding decisions following Board review.

The Dr. C. Edward Graybeal Scholarship Fund 2026 grant cycle is closed. This grant is designed to support a Milford High School senior to pursue higher education through a college or university. The Snow Family Scholarship Fund, established in 2024 by Jessica and Bruce Snow and managed by the CenDel Foundation, recognizes and supports outstanding Smyrna High School senior(s). The scholarship provides tuition assistance to students pursuing higher education at a two- or four-year college, university, or trade school.
